Oncologists and hematologists make critical therapeutic decisions every day based on intricate treatment protocols. Traditional searches for dosages and schemes across paper documentation or cumbersome online databases are time-consuming. The project goal was to build a fast, offline-capable mobile application presenting precisely formulated hematology and oncology protocols verified by top medical authorities.
Scope of Delivery and Commoditech's Role
We handled the entire project lifecycle end-to-end, taking responsibility for:
- Medical product concept & strategy – designing an interface adapted to rapid, demanding hospital workflows.
- UX/UI Design – high-contrast minimalist styling for seamless readability of drug tables under any hospital lighting conditions.
- Mobile Development – selecting Flutter & Dart to maintain a single performant codebase for iOS and Android.
- Backend architecture – a robust Python engine managing drug databases and secure data synchronization.
- Publishing & distribution – rolling out the app to Google Play and Apple App Store in Austria, the Netherlands, Spain, Italy, and Romania.
Security and Authorization (Restricted Access)
Due to the strictly clinical nature of the therapeutic data, access to the full functionality of My Onco App is restricted. Registration and login are available exclusively to verified, actively practicing physicians licensed in their respective countries. Verification is handled by an automated backend interfacing with national medical chambers.
