Role description
For a large e-commerce platform we are looking for a Senior iOS Developer to join the team responsible for the purchase path (cart and checkout) in the mobile app. The project covers the stability and availability of the critical buying journey, regulatory and accessibility compliance, and the development of a fast checkout that streamlines purchasing.
Key responsibilities
- Safeguard the stability, availability and performance of the critical purchase path in the iOS app (log monitoring, incident management, non-functional requirements).
- Implement regulatory requirements and accessibility standards (WCAG/a11y), including the Omnibus Directive, across the purchase journey.
- Drive fast and adaptive checkout and conversion initiatives.
- Simplify and unify legacy purchase flows into a single core checkout path.
- Collaborate with backend engineers and product teams.
Required competencies
- Fluency in Swift and the iOS SDK.
- Solid knowledge of SwiftUI, Combine and Swift Concurrency.
- Writing unit tests (XCTest, Swift Testing), snapshot tests (SnapshotTesting) and UI tests (XCUITest).
- Hands-on experience with modular architecture and developing and scaling large codebases.
- Knowledge of Apple's Liquid Glass design language and WCAG accessibility standards.
- Daily use of AI-assisted tools (GitHub Copilot, OpenCode or other agentic coding tools).
Nice to have
- Experience with A/B testing frameworks.
- Experience working in an Agile environment.
- Openness to working across mobile platforms or with backend systems.
