IT job demand barometer for Poland – October 2026

On 19 October 2026 at 8:58 (Warsaw time) Just Join IT, one of Poland’s largest IT job boards, listed 20,465 active job ads across its 25 categories. A year earlier, on 22 October 2025, the all-offers counter showed 16,744. That is roughly +22% year on year. We will publish this barometer monthly, with the same categories and the same method.

Data date and method

Snapshot: 19 Oct 2026, 8:58 (Europe/Warsaw), counters on the category pages of justjoin.it/job-offers/all-locations, all locations. We count ads active at a given moment (a stock), not all ads published during the month (a flow).

Most job ads: Data, Analytics, Java, PM

Sum of the 25 categories: 20,465. In rare cases an ad may appear in more than one category, and counters change during the snapshot, so we treat the sum as an approximation of the number of ads.

PM: more than twice as many ads as a year ago

The PM category had 1,566 ads versus 731 on 21 Oct 2025 (page copy in the Internet Archive), about 2.1 times more. This is consistent with first-half 2026 data: according to Just Join IT, Project Management ads grew 137% year on year, AI/ML 129% and Data 78% (CRN, 15 Jul 2026, in Polish). Companies are hiring not only people who write code but also people who get implementations delivered.

The market still wants seniors

According to No Fluff Jobs, in the first half of 2026 a senior job ad received on average 19 CVs, a mid-level ad 24 and a junior ad 47 (press release, 2 Jul 2026, in Polish). If you are hiring a senior, you compete for a smaller pool. Current B2B rates for 12 roles are in our IT contractor rates index Q4 2026.

Caveats

  • The year-on-year comparison relies on Internet Archive copies (22 Oct 2025, 21 Oct 2025). For other categories the archived copies did not show a counter, so we give year-on-year change only for the total and PM.
  • The snapshots are a few days less than a full year apart, and the job board may have changed its categorisation in the meantime.
  • The +86% year-on-year growth reported for the first half of 2026 refers to ads published during the half-year, not the number active on a given day, so we do not compare those figures directly.

We plan the next snapshot around 19 November 2026, which will add a month-on-month comparison. Hiring in one of these categories? See software developer outsourcing: models and rates or contact us.
